Volunteer Services

Licensed cosmetologists can volunteer their time and services through a mobile salon for the nonprofit organization Styling Futures Foundation. Volunteers are also needed for cleaning and maintaining the mobile salon

Physical goods to donate
New or gently used professional styling tools (blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons, clippers, trimmers, diffusers).
Salon essentials: combs, brushes, capes, towels, spray bottles, clips, neck strips.
Hair care and styling products: shampoos, conditioners, treatments, gels, mousses, edge control, oils, heat protectants (full or salon-size, unopened).
Sanitation and safety supplies: disinfectants, Barbicide, gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, paper towels, laundry detergent.
Mobile salon support items: extension cords, portable mirrors, folding chairs, storage bins, wheeled carts, canopy/tent for outdoor events.

Services and professional expertise
Accounting, bookkeeping, or tax prep to support the foundation’s financial management.
Legal services for contracts, waivers, trademarks, and nonprofit compliance.
Marketing, branding, and graphic design to elevate flyers, social media, and campaign visuals.
Web design, SEO, and tech support to keep the website, booking forms, and email systems running smoothly.
Photography and videography to document events, testimonies, and transformations for storytelling and fundraising.

Direct program support
Sponsoring cosmetology students’ tuition, exam fees, or continuing education classes.
Funding stipends or micro-grants for emerging stylists to purchase their kits or licenses.
Donating mannequin heads, textbooks, online course access, or test prep materials.
Covering costs for fuel, maintenance, or insurance for the mobile salon vehicle.
Providing gift cards to beauty supply stores so the team can buy exactly what is needed for specific clients or events.

Community and Business Partnerships
Salons “adopting” a day or month to donate a percentage of service or product sales.
Beauty brands donating products, tools, or limited-edition items whose proceeds benefit Styling Futures.
Corporate employee giving and matching gift programs directed to the foundation.
Hosting supply drives at salons, beauty schools, or local businesses for tools and products.
Event sponsorships for community pop-ups, back-to-school makeovers, or confidence-building makeover days.

Awareness and Advocacy Support
Social media promotion: sharing posts, creating content, or offering influencer collaborations.
Email newsletter or blog features that highlight Styling Futures’ impact and needs.
Introducing the nonprofit to schools, shelters, youth programs, and community centers that could benefit from mobile salon services.
Offering strategy support for fundraising campaigns, Giving Tuesday drives, or grant research and writing.
